Julie Duffy

Julie Duffy was born to a family of storytellers in Scotland, but it wasn’t until she was gaining her MA in History that she started to realize how important our stories really are.  Julie will talk about her journey as an advocate for story-telling, from her studies through her first job at a start up on a mission to democratize the publishing industry to her current role as director of the creativity challenge StoryADay.org.   She will be talking about her upbringing in Scotland and share some practical steps that you can take to enhance and record the cultural heritage of not only your family, but your community as well and why it matters that these stories be told. She will also be providing some resources to help get everyone started in their own journey of telling their stories.
